IT Help Desk
Our experienced IT team is available to offer our students on-campus IT help-desk service 6 days a week. The Office of IT Services has overall responsibility for planning, developing and operating AIFE's central information and communications infrastructure. But IT is no longer confined to the computer room. In a modern organisation like AIFE, it is everywhere in the workplace. Our traditional role is being extended as we develop new services to assist staff and students in using IT more effectively, through better planning, education and assistance of end-users.
Assessment Helpdesk Support
AIFE have created a dedicated service to assist students in resolving assessment queries prior to submission. The Assessment helpdesk will answer queries regarding assessment tasks which you consider unfair or not achievable; assessment tasks that you do not understand or are not clear upon; and your personal feedback on the assessments undertaken. Emails can be sent to assessmenthelpdesk@aife.edu.au or consult your Trainer or AIFE staff member for further details.
Industry Consultation
The workforce development needs within industry is of the upper most importance to our institute, and has always been a top priority in terms of course development and implementation. AIFE actively pursues opportunities to meet with industry groups, including enterprises, state/territory training authorities, and unions for a better understanding of their training needs.
Industry consultation assists our college in ensuring AIFE assessments and delivery of courses are current, contextualized and valid. Based upon the feedback of industry consultation, AIFE update and implement changes to our courses regularly, such as Learning and Development Strategies to guarantee that AIFE is teaching employable skills, which are aligned with industry requirements. This is crucial to AIFE’s delivery of education as performance criteria and learning outcomes will determine whether students have the relevant competencies.
Such on-going improvement of our education services in conjunction with organisations within the industry equips our students upon graduation with capability of entering the industry and obtaining employment within the industry with adequacy.
